There will be an important finance meeting held in the clubhouse tomorrow night (Thursday 14/07/2011) at 9pm. This meeting is open to everyone, so come along if you can.
With so much football activity in place and with several key areas in need of finance....all help is needed in upcoming fundraising events such as the Tommy Fleming Concert, Trip to Gola and Cope Rewards as well as further planning. Every little bit of help makes a huge difference. Go raibh maith agaibh. There will be a 'Child Protection - Code of Ethics and Good Practice in Sport' course held in the clubhouse on Wednesday the 13th of July @ 7p.m. This course is open to anyone who wishes to work with the club in a coaching role or helping out with teams. Anyone wishing to take part contact Donald Sharkey or Bríd Doherty. As at the moment we are short of female mentors who have this course done, so it would be nice to see, mothers ,sisters ,aunts coming along. Everyone is welcome, male and female. With growing numbers at underage now this is a very important course. Hope to get a good turnout to help the Club into our future.

![]() A well attended handover night was held in the Clubhouse last night for several things. Firstly we handed over €1500 as part of proceeds from the Big Fight Night to the Oncology Ward at Letterkenny Hospital. We then received gratefully sponsorship of €1000 from the Cope Community trust. This is an initiative set up by the Cope to support community based groups. The Cope and Naomh Muire then launched our own rewards scheme. This Rewards scheme enables the club to benifit every time shoppers spend €20 or more in the Cope Annagry or Dungloe. If you have a current rewards key from the Cope, please add on Naomh Muire GAA Club the next time you are in. This does NOT affect your points but adds further cash benefit to Naomh Muire every time you spend €20. This will work if we all work it. Please tell family and friends. This is a two way support scheme and Naomh Muire are pleased to be involved. Photos from the launch night are available in the Gallery (Gallery- Events Gallery -The Cope Rewards Scheme Just another Saturday morning at the Banks......
Tommy Stevenson, Armagh GAA Core strength and conditioning coach had a session with the Naomh Mhuire Under 16s and underage coaches at 9am this morning attended by over 30 young lads. At 11am nearly 40 under 8s had a coaching hour on the new training field...the first group to use this new facility. This training field will be a huge help in the years ahead in developing our youth. Also at 11am we hosted an Under 10 blitz with Ardara and Naomh Ultan GAA clubs taking part along with our own team. Our young lads and girls did really well today and are improving greatly with each blitz and training session. In total, that was over 100 young players from the area participating in Gaelic games, coaching sessions etc from 9am. Over 12 coaches were involved along with a catering team of 6 and our 3 referees. This level of committment is an absolute credit to all involved. ![]() DONEGAL senior football captain Michael Murphy has been cleared to play in Sunday week’s Ulster semi final against Tyrone after the Central Hearings Committee upheld Donegal’s appeal against the Glenswilly man’s sending off last weekend.
